Combat pass: parries, weight, and the macuahuitl
Reworking the timing windows so that every exchange rewards reading the enemy instead of mashing.
The first version of the combat rewarded pressure. Hold the offensive and most encounters folded. That is the opposite of what we want.
This pass narrows the parry window and adds weight to the macuahuitl: the obsidian edge is devastating on a clean hit and punishing when you miss, because the swing commits you. The tepoztopilli keeps its reach but loses the ability to cancel out of a thrust.
The result is slower and more deliberate. Every exchange asks you to read the enemy first.
