Characters
Tzilacatzin
A charismatic and respected Mexica warrior, yet impulsive and deeply complex. Tzilacatzin is haunted by the mistakes of his past and driven by a desperate need for redemption.
When he receives a prophetic vision foretelling the fall of his empire, he sees it as his only chance to make amends. He sets out on a perilous journey to defy fate—unaware that the “truth” he pursues may be the greatest deception of all.
Mictlantecuhtli
The Sovereign of Mictlán and god of the dead. He is the ancestral voice that delivers to Tzilacatzin the prophecy of the empire’s fall.
He appears as an unexpected guide, a shadowy force supposedly necessary to restore balance. Yet, as the Master of Deception, his true motives are as deep and inscrutable as the abyss he rules.
Ahuizotl
An aquatic terror in the service of Tláloc, the god of rain. More than a simple beast, the Ahuízotl is a messenger of the water gods, sent to claim the souls of those chosen to dwell in Tlalocan.
With the appearance of a slick-furred dog and the hands of a monkey, its most terrifying feature is its long tail, which ends in a human hand.
Creatures

Ahuizotl
Guardian of the Deep Waters
A watery terror serving Tlāloc, god of rain. The Ahuízotl is no mere beast, but a messenger of the water gods, sent to claim the souls destined for Tlalocan.
With the body of a slick-furred dog, the hands of a monkey, and a tail ending in a human hand, it lurks in deep waters, luring victims with the cries of a child before dragging them into the depths. Days later, the body resurfaces, but without eyes, nails, or teeth.

Mictlantecuhtli
Lord of the Underworld
The Sovereign of Mictlán, god of the dead. He is the ancient voice that delivers to Tzilacatzin the prophecy of the empire’s fall.
He manifests as an unexpected guide — a shadowy power seemingly essential to restore balance. Yet as the Master of Deception, his true motives are as deep and unfathomable as the abyss he rules.
